Freetown Select Board closes Special Town Meeting warrant with three unanimous votes
FREETOWN — October 5, 2023 — Freetown Select Board unanimously approves Special Town Meeting warrant, adding a solar PILOT parcel. Meeting remotely via Zoom on October 5, the three-member board opened, amended, and closed the warrant for the October 23, 2023 Special Town Meeting in a single session lasting under ten minutes. The sole substantive action was the addition of a second location to Article 6 — a Payment in Lieu of Taxes agreement covering DH Solar Owner One LLC, or its affiliates, successors, or assigns, for land at 1 Nick Drive, East Freetown, assessors' map 241, lot 26.1. The chair noted the amendment was brought forward by the Board of Assessors to fold a second solar parcel into an existing PILOT arrangement already on the warrant. Selectmen Lopes and Zeger voted in favor of all items with no dissent.
