Freetown Water & Sewer Commission approves crane and meter equipment purchases totaling 35,597 dollars. Chair Robert S. Parker and members Paul G.
Sadeck and Mark Rosofsky unanimously backed a 21,000 dollar crane purchase from retained earnings for the new truck and a 14,597.38 dollar meter reading equipment purchase from TiSales. The commission heard development proposals for 170 Middleboro Road and directed owner Marcus Baptiste to seek an easement from Rounsevell Drive residents for a water line extension, as New Bedford failed to respond to requests to tap its municipal line. Two candidates are interviewed for the laborer position.
