Freetown Water & Sewer Commission approves July 1 rate increase, passing through wholesale cost growth. Chair Robert S. Parker's motion to raise residential water to $9.19 per unit and commercial to $10.86 per unit, maintaining quarterly fees of $16.00 and $25.00 respectively, carried unanimously; the 2.3 to 2.4 percent adjustment reflects supplier price increases absorbed previously by the Commission.
Members approved prior minutes unanimously, discussed pending hydrant repair bids due April 7 with opening expected at 11 a.m., and deferred a demolition saw purchase pending budget status, authorizing equipment loans from the Highway Department in the interim. The Commission also reviewed a service line boundary dispute at 159/161 County Road and agreed to hold customer notification pending property survey confirmation.
