Planning Board approves three-year extensions for solar project and subdivision.

Freetown Planning Board approves extensions and new bond for delayed projects. The board unanimously granted a three-year extension for a large-scale solar project at 3 Quarry Drive, Assessor's Map 202, Lot 20, with an updated decommissioning bond of $367,866.18, representing an increase of $189,608.26 over the previous amount. A three-year extension for Danielle Goncalves' approved subdivision on Braley Road was also granted unanimously due to delays beyond the applicant's control.
The board approved revised Site Plan Review and Special Permit applications requiring applicant signatures for site access and unanimously approved the fiscal year 2027 Planning Board Budget. Three public hearings were continued to February 17, 2026, and the board will hear a state presentation on Battery Energy Storage System regulations at that same meeting.
