FREETOWN — The Freetown Agricultural Commission held its first meeting and unanimously elected Donna Ashley as Chair. The four-member panel, meeting at the Freetown Police Station Community Room, voted to assign Ashley duties including recording minutes and scheduling future sessions. The commission discussed adoption of a state Right to Farm bylaw designed to protect local farming operations, delegating Jennifer Durant to prepare an editable draft and Ashley to write a fact sheet explaining its community benefits.
