FREETOWN — Finance Committee advances infrastructure warrant articles for January meeting. The five-member committee voted Monday to recommend 16 of 28 warrant articles for the January 26 Special Town Meeting, declining support for an elementary school fence and a land sale. Fire Chief Harrie Ashley presented the need for a replacement fire engine and communication center radio equipment; the committee recommended both.

Town Administrator Deb Pettey detailed road acceptances and parking resurfacing proposals, which the committee endorsed. The committee also voted 3-2 against a land transfer and sale proposal.
