Freetown Finance Committee postpones reorganization, schedules board selectmen meeting for seventh member appointment. Four members attended the April 8 meeting: Chair Margaret French, Vice Chair Kara Lees, and members Lisa Pacheco and John Viarella. The committee decided to postpone its reorganization, with a joint meeting scheduled with the Board of Selectmen on April 14 to appoint the seventh member.
The committee reviewed budgets from eight departments including questions about a new River Hawk water testing contract, Police Cruiser Lease Program increases, and electricity and water cost increases. Four budget presentation meetings are scheduled for April 14, April 22, April 29, and May 6, 2026.
