FREETOWN — Council on Aging - Library Community Building Committee votes on branding and design direction. The committee voted unanimously to officially rename the project to "Freetown Community Building Project" and adopted a green and cream color scheme for branding. Architect Phil O'Brien presented three design options; the committee gave consensus direction to advance Option 2, a simplified T-shaped building form designed to reduce construction costs.
The project's total estimated cost remains approximately 31 million dollars with a town appropriation of approximately 27 to 28 million dollars and a cost reduction target of approximately 5 million dollars.
