Board of Assessors approves FY27 budget with software cost estimate

Freetown Board of Assessors unanimously approves its Fiscal Year 2027 budget. Chair Paul G. Sadeck, Member Jeffrey D.
Field, and Member Melissa Motta approved the spending plan with an estimated $13,500 allocation for PK Valuation Group software and web hosting, subject to adjustment upon receipt of a final quote. The board maintained the part-time clerk position at approximately $18,000, rejecting a proposal to increase Senior Clerk Allison Sylvia's six-hour weekly schedule. In executive session, the board acted on six property applications, granting three abatements and denying three others, while approving two Clause 18 exemptions totaling $3,623.50.
