Freetown Board of Assessors approves property tax abatement for February blizzard damage. The board granted an abatement for 103 South Main Street in Assonet, reducing the pro rata assessment due to structural damage the building sustained during the February blizzard. It denied an abatement application for 19-A Rounsevell Drive in East Freetown and also authorized the Treasurer/Collector to abate several long-outstanding personal property tax accounts deemed uncollectible.
