Board of Selectmen · Meeting of January 5, 2026

Freetown Board finalizes 28-article warrant for January town meeting. The Selectmen unanimously approved the Special Town Meeting warrant for January 26, featuring major capital projects including replacement of the Freetown Elementary School boiler, purchase of a new fire engine, and a police all-terrain vehicle. The warrant also includes communication-center radio equipment replacement and addresses regulatory changes such as zoning amendments for accessory dwelling units and subdivision rules.

The board separately voted unanimously to approve a $4,800 donation from the Selectmen's donation account to subsidize parking lot improvements at the East Freetown Congregational Church, citing the public library's use of the lot.
