Board approves 2 percent COLA, retains Alexandra property for pump station

Freetown Selectmen unanimously approve a 2 percent cost-of-living increase for fiscal 2027. Selectmen Jared Zager and Carlos Lopes voted for the COLA after discussing a potential 3 percent rate, with plans to revisit during the budget season. The board retained parcel 23 Alexandra Drive for a future water and sewer pump station while approving sale of parcel 12 Alexandra Drive.

Additional unanimous approvals included $161,348.74 in ambulance write-offs, a $5,462.09 police-station water-leak repair quote, and two Outsider Endurance event applications.
