Assessors issue supplemental bill for DXC Technologies error

Freetown Board of Assessors approves supplemental bill to correct DXC Technologies filing error. The board unanimously voted to issue a supplemental assessment of $218.46 based on a reassessed value of $10,300 after discovering a computer error in the company's fiscal 2026 Form of List filing. Assistant Assessor Mike McCue reported that DXC had incorrectly submitted a form stating all assets were removed, when the company had actually retained the assets and reported them for FY27.
In executive session, the board denied a charitable entity exemption application and discussed litigation strategy related to two assessment cases.
